i wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
[Sunday night, after Ariel's posted the notice and all the pieces have fallen in to place, the Dining Hall has been transformed. While somewhat less formal, it's still fancy in its own way - and thanks to teen girl squad certain figures, it's been decorated to where one thing is made very clear;
It's time for a goddamn dinner party.
Tables off to the side are set up to be used for the dishes that people have cooked, whether their attempts were successful or unsuccessful. And if they haven't brought anything at all, well, at least some people may have made extra? There's also pen and paper at every place setting, presumably for the 'break ice' that Ariel mentioned - yep. It's going to be one of those dinners.
At least it's well intentioned?]
OOC; Feel free to handwave you were recruited to help with cooking/decorating/moving furniture/etc. Or thread it out, I'm not your parent, etc etc.
Also, feel free to start your own icebreaker threads!

Can you pass me some of that? It looks good.
[(He managed to cook some veggies, for the record. Garlic and butter is hard to mess up.)
Later on, he'll clear his throat, trying to get the attention of most of the people here; then, true to bringing it up with Ariel earlier...]
Who's familiar with Two Truths and a Lie?
Later on
I haven't, though I think I can guess what it's about by the name.

At dinner, he brings his own tumbler for potential alcoholic beverages, marked by a logo that he finds quite interesting. He has gone to some wild parties before. Surely this goblet will suffice.]
So is this a formal dining event or a more casual party? [Asks the resident prince.]

But not long after the eating has concluded something...off happens. One of the Tom Jones cutouts begins to sway, just barely, before suddenly falling face down onto the table with enough force to cause a gust of wind that knocks down it's companion Tom Jones cutout. The second cutout sways and falls backwards, laying flat onto the floor. It stares up at the ceiling with unseeing cardboard eyes.
Tom Jones and Tom Jones are...in need of being reset in their proper places.]

He's also shown up with some scraps of paper, pens, and an absurdly large top-hat. That's probably weird. If he catches you looking at them, he'll smile and motion you over.]
It's easy. You write a true story about yourself, or something you have done. You put it in the hat. Then when someone draws, they have to guess who the story is about.
[Once his game is afoot, he begins to explore the party a little more. He's very careful to try every dish. Some of them twice! He'll have a few questions for everyone]
Where does this dish come from? How long have you been making it?
[Ultimately, though, he winds up sitting back for most of this. He doesn't seem worn out, more... curious than anything. He watches everyone move about, maybe just a little too intense and a little too concerned...]
[[ooc: feel free to submit your stories here. They'll be randomly dispersed throughout threads!]]

It's been a while since she went to a dinner party, but that doesn't mean she's forgotten how to dress for the occation. (ooc: specifically the one on the far right))]
Did you make anything?
[Later on in the night she's sipping wine from a glass, looking pensive, but far more relaxed than she has all week]

[After making the initial rounds, Steven has abandoned his self-appointed waiterly duties and just placed his contribution among the rest of the available food in favor of mingling.]
Did you try any?

[Thanks to certain figures indeed! Christine knows visual art is probably the one area of the arts she struggles the most with, but at least she knows how to make paper chains, and cut out little paper hearts! She uses the glow tape she has to add a flash of colour where she can, and currently is fiddling with the oversized costume she hoped could be used as a tablecloth.]
Hmm... maybe there are some fake flowers we can use as a centrepiece?
Party time!
[Christine does her best as one of the co-decorators to clean up well! She wants to put on a good impression, so she scours the costume room for a dress fit for a princess and a platter full of dumplings. She sets them down on the table, but she looks nervous.]
I couldn't find all the spices I needed... I hope they're still good!
[Please tell her they're good. She cannot handle disappointing her nai nai!
pre-party
I haven't seen any? But Michael and I got high last summer and learned how to make origami flowers.

Hey! I made little pizza bagels.
[Sure there's a table for food, but why do buffet dining when he can just carry around his wares on a fancy tray, classy style. He even found something in the costume room appropriate for the evening.]
These ones are plain cheese, these ones have pepperoni, these have pineapple, and if you ever visit Beach City don't tell Kofi or Mr. Fryman, but these ones have frybits.

This does unfortunately lead to her bringing a plate of... just really sad-looking sandwiches. She did her best!! Just... this is it, this is her best, unfortunately.

For her own favorite dish though... well, everyone's already tried her muffins (and yes, there's a plate of those here too, because of course there is) so she's decided to bring something different: her banana pudding! Only instead of being in little jars, she's gone and put them in... a bunch of mugs from the kitchen. Yes those same mugs with all the sayings on them. She thought it was a fun use for them. ]
I made more than enough for everyone, so feel free to help yourself!
