second trial
[Just as with last week, once the investigation finishes, that slow, ominous sound from the main lobby rumbles through the opera house.
The doors to the court room have opened and the time has come for a trial.
The court room looks just as it did before: the grand chandelier glittering above your heads, the fine red velvet seats. In the orchestra pit your circle of wooden podiums awaits you, just the same as before save for a few recent additions. Like Valjean before them, D-ne, Gabe, and Hime's podiums have been draped in black crepe with their greyscale funerary portraits. Behind them, where the performers themselves stood only a week ago, a metal pole stands with a softly glowing lightbulb atop it.
The curtain is closed, waiting to open when a decision has been reached and an execution can commence.
When everyone is in their places, the Balladeer's voice echoes loud and clear through the theatre. He still sounds slightly bewildered by all of this.]
Okay, everyone, you all know how this works now. Trial rules are the same, still no time limit, just...keep at it until you figure out what happened. You can do this.

Where would you like us?

[oh hey he's still here]
That's fine and everything, just don't mess with the curtain.

[Raoul's going to stand there first and just, you know, wait to figure out just what he needs to do. Also he won't touch the curtain it's okay.]
no subject
Well, so far I doubt any of us are responsible for this.
[Billy, Raoul, and the Pirate King. Yep. He'll hang out next to Raoul over here so we can get the lineup going.]
no subject
[There's like a hair's width determining whether or not Raoul is 6ft but since he's close enough you might as well go up.]
no subject
So far there hasn't been anyone acting suspicious, but...
[Well, he hadn't suspected D-ne at all. Had anyone? The Pirate King is pointedly avoiding looking over in the direction of her podium.]
But we will figure it out!

Its a few moments.
...
Oh!]
Ah, please show me your hands?
[Splinters, right? Evidence of splinters! Maybe!]
no subject
[He holds up his hands - he never wears gloves or anything of the sort and it's obvious that they're free of splinters or injuries.]
I would imagine someone would cover their hands if they had splinters. Hans has already proven that he doesn't have any, but everyone else with gloves should remove them!

[Raoul shows her his hands. No gloves, no bandages, no injuries, no splinters.]
Is that all?

There's no splinters, injuries, or other marks.
