it's a party! time to mingle!
[ The mood may be shifting as the days go by, but Hans is still totally confident that everybody's still working together on the whole "not murdering" thing! Definitely. I mean, a guy can dream, right? In any case, this morning upon leaving your room you may find a folded note under your door. Unless you're a really early riser, then you're going to have to come back to get your invitation. Sorry, bro. ]
Plus if we all keep humming, music plays itself in the background, that's how it works, right?
The refreshments are laid out on a table with flutes of champagne and wine glasses, and beside it you'll find, besides champagne and fine wine, a pitcher of water, maybe some juice and soda from the kitchen. It's all self-serve, so have fun with that. There are also some snacks: crackers and sliced cheeses and what-have-you nearby, complete with napkins and forks to serve yourself.
Not a drinker or much of a partier? That's alright, you can just hang out! A stack of playing cards is laid out by one end of the dining table, looking perfectly inviting for anyone who wants to give that a try. And Hans did promise there'd be stories from home to pass the time, so perhaps find yourself a group of people willing to listen and tell the group about the real you!
...Or if you'd rather avoid the whole mess entirely, stick to the wall and hope no one sees you. That's not suspicious at all. I mean, the dining hall is big enough for twenty, right? ]
Dear [Your Name]((It really will say your name, he hand wrote these!))[ Whether you're here early to help with set up or showing up fashionably late, the dining hall has been... well, not so much decorated really, but there's music coming from somewhere, maybe. Hans dragged the piano over from the music room and set it up in a corner, that should work.
I think we can all agree that this situation is far from ideal. It's fair to have doubts and expect the worse, but if we all stick to our morals I'm sure we can wait this out together. We can't let the Management think they can get us down with false promises and their crazy rules.
With that in mind, I hope you'll consider joining me in the Dining Room tonight for some refreshments, snacks, and a good chance for us all to spend some time together. There will be wine and champagne for those who wish to partake in it, as well as crackers and cheese and whatever I was able to find in the kitchen (I can't cook, but if anyone wants to bring anything, feel free!) If drinking and dining isn't your thing, maybe we can sit around and trade stories from home.
I look forward to seeing you there.

(P.S. Set-up is at 5pm if anyone wants to help.)

Setting up
The answer? Frozen quiches. He worked really hard to get these to cook in the oven, and though most of them are burnt on the bottom, they are actually edible! So in comes Raoul, all dressed with his platter of quiches, and he's quick to set them aside to cross the room.]
Would you like some assistance, Your Majesty?
no subject
I'd love some, actually. Are those for the party?
[ Bless you, Raoul. Maybe this won't be a disaster, after all! ]
no subject
They are. I thought it might be prudent to bring something. Where would you like me to start?
no subject
Thank you, that's very kind. [ He'll just take those and put them with the snacks, why not? ]
Well, I was thinking of brining a few instruments in, in case people wanted music. It won't exactly be a live band, but it'll be nice to have the option available, what do you think?
no subject
That sounds like a lovely idea. I can go carry some of them in. Where would you like them, by the piano?
[Also Hans did you bring the piano in here by yourself? Nice.]
no subject
Yes, that should work. I'm not sure if anyone plays anything else... but perhaps a guitar or a flute?
[ Good thing it has wheels. ]
no subject
[And with a little salute, he's going out to get them!]
no subject
[ So nice having real help! Wow Raoul, you are just the nicest guy. ]
no subject
It'll take a bit of time before he comes back, but it's with a couple of flutes and one guitar - he could've carried more if he wanted to be reckless. He'll just set those down nicely by the piano.]
There we are...that should be sufficient. And if not, we can always get more.
no subject
That looks good, thank you. [ Hans gives them all a look and nods. Yep. Instruments, check. ]
Would you like to help me get some ice? One of those boxes in the kitchen makes some.
[ It's like magical ice! How convenient and lucky to have such a wonderful invention! ]
no subject
Oh, in the electric ice box? Yes, let us get the ice!
[So very convenient, he's warming up to the future.]
no subject
Yes, it's so convenient! I never thought ice would be so easy to come by.
[ But then he doesn't remember Elsa, so. ]
no subject
It is a refreshing change, to say the least. As troublesome and strange some of these future things are, anything from the electric ice box is particularly favorable in my eyes.
no subject
[ Like, do they have pop-tarts? because Hans would love pop-tarts. ]
no subject
I wonder if that's possible. Surely if the management see this "venture" as a failure, no one would miss anything here.
no subject
Right, it's a wonder where they got it all in the first place. Some of the things here seem so... specialized. It's very strange, but it seems as though there isn't anything this "management" can't do.
