[Seven weeks later. Half of your number remains.

Nothing in the opera house seems all that different. The Box Office door has been locked after the death of its occupant, and there's a new copy of the house rules nailed to the front, with the last one circled heavily in black ink. The point has been made; the rest of you had better play your parts.

The crew members still aren't visibly walking the halls, but every so often there's movement in your peripheral vision, or vague half-heard whispers from the shadows. Every so often there's a thud or a snicker from inside the Merchandise Booth, though the stagehand inside will continue handing out prizes to those who earn them.

This may be your last week here. Make the most of it.]

[Tuesday morning, there is a large box sitting on the dining room table. Whoever opens it will be greeted by the sound of party horns and a shower of colorful confetti. Inside, there's a note written in an elegant hand:]

JOIN US THURSDAY FOR THE SHOW'S GRAND FINALE! IT'S AN EXPERIENCE YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS!

AND WHO KNOWS - MAYBE IT'LL FULFILL YOUR USUAL THURSDAY NIGHT TRADITIONS~

[Billy doesn't take that locked box office door as a warning. He takes it as a challenge.

Which is why he's going to tear down the rules and get paint from the paint room, boldly painting on the door in broad, angry strokes.]

WE WILL NOT BE MANIPULATED. WE WILL NOT BE VICTIMS ANYMORE.

[He leaves a couple different colors of paints and sizes of brushes outside the box office when he goes, for whoever wants to join him in vandalism. But when he's done, he's going to retreat to his usual spot in the tech lab, hard at work on...something.

It looks like the Doctor is going to have no problem playing his role.]

[...You know what? Yeah. Petty vandalism sounds pretty great right about now. Raoul grabs the orange paint to add something beneath the red:]

WE WERE NEVER YOURS TO DIRECT. WE WILL NEVER SUBMIT.

[Anna will follow up with bright yellow paint later.]

WE WILL KEEP FIGHTING! EVEN IF IT MEANS BURNING THIS PLACE TO THE GROUND.

[Okay yeah, he can get swept up in this wanton destruction. Winslow takes a big scoop of the white paint, tossing it at the first camera he sees.

How do you like THAT, management?!]

[Seymour sees this end responds by grabbing the green paint.]

NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO TURN US AGAINST EACH OTHER, YOU WILL NEVER MAKE IS BETRAY OUR FRIENDS

[Someone was here Sunday Night, and it looks like they've taken the time to remove any and all traces of paint from the box office door and the cameras. The rules are stuck back up, but it doesn't look as though the assailant had the time to actually bolt them in or anything. They can be torn right back down, but it looks like there's someone here who doesn't appreciate fine art.

Perhaps you should figure out some way to repay them?]

[...You know, he really shouldn't get involved in this, but- ]

[Heather doesn't have anything really smart or rebellious to write but like hell she's missing out on this]

[Well all right first things first, Billy's going to tear down the rules again because fuck your rules and fuck the establishment.

Second, he's going to take up his red paint again and go for a different message this time.]

THE STATUS IS NOT QUO.

WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED.

[And then he's going to set up camp right outside the door, and sit there all day.

It looks like he's playing innocuously with a rather large laser pointer to pass the time. At least, it looks that way until you realize that on the opposite wall - directly in view of the cameras - there are char marks on the wallpaper left in the path of the laser that take the shape of a giant extended middle finger.]

[Later on in the day, when some people have begun to sleep, Billy might just notice the sound of footsteps. If he turns to look, Billy will be able to spot what appears to be a very visible member of the stage crew carrying a huge amount of cleaning supplies. They stare at the middle finger in what appears to be total awe, let out a very distinct groan, and take a step towards it.

That's when they realize Billy is still there.

Cleaning supplies get dropped in a blind panic, and the stagehand begins to bolt it out of there.]

[Well, the giant burned middle finger definitely makes her pause. She's not sure if she should mock him about this, or be impressed.]

Wow.

[pennyless]

[Probably fortunately for him, the realization that he was still there comes up because he slowly got to his feet.

Which puts him in a better position to haul ass after them.

Hope you don't step on that strategically placed target practice sheet on the floor, guy. You might take an awful tumble.]

No you don't!

Huh?

Oh, yeah. I figured it would be harder to clean up than paint.

[onthebusagain]

It, uh, definitely makes a statement.

[stagemanagers]

[They do, and they do. The stagehand falls flat on their face in literally the most embarrassing way possible. It takes them a pretty decent while to get up, meaning that Billy is absolutely going to get to them before that happens.]

[pennyless]

Thanks. I mean, that and I'm going to be sitting out here all night, I guess.

[pennyless]

[I can't believe Dr. Horrible is going to wrestle a guy.

But here he goes, pouncing on them like the goddamn Crocodile Hunter (rest in peace), his full weight landing square on the stagehand's back and immediately putting one arm into a hell of an arm bar (that's been used on Billy many, many times in the past).]

HELP! HEY, SOMEBODY! I GOT ONE!

[Like a billowing bird of darkness, Winslow hears the call for help.

Seeing Billy H in that kind of lock, he assumes the worst and rushes to grab this stage hand by the shoulders.

He's got you, man.]

Let's see who this coward is!

[Gonna reaaach and snatch that hood now.]

[...you know, they're a lot less intimidating up close. As compared to the very lanky stagehand who appeared in the last trial, this stagehand just appears to be a big dude in a morphsuit. It's a good thing Billy got the only one he could take in a fistfight. If you want that off his face, you're probably going to have to cut it off.

Before you can do that, however, he screams in the whiniest voice possible.]

MY BACK! YEESH, WATCH FOR THE BACK!

[pennyless]

[Wat.]

What.

[Billy switches the arm bar to a wrist lock but, kind of shocked by that whiny shrieking (and the fact that he and Abe Lincoln just took out a guy), he slides off the guy's back.]
