[ That's right, cast members! It's Halloween! Some weird holiday Hans totally read up on that involves dressing up and eating sweets, apparently. As with his last party, Hans has slipped an invitation under your door, inviting you, yes you! To celebrate Halloween in the... third floor ballroom? Hell, Hans didn't plan for that, but if the set-up's there, he'll take it. The note doesn't quite say "It's what Hime would have wanted" but it does say "We should all stick together and try to make the best of our time with each other," so y'know. It's implied. Along with "Costumes mandatory! It's not Halloween without that."

Once you arrive at the party, what will you do? Will you enjoy some refreshments? The drinks are set out just like last time, along with some cake made by Astarte (not exactly Hime quality but a very sweet attempt,) perhaps take the chance to share some stories or show off your costume? Or maybe you'd like to check out what's going on at the tables? Looks like someone set up pumpkin carving stations Why, the possibilities are endless! ]

[ Hours before the party proper, Hans can be found setting up in the third floor ballroom. He's not sure how the pumpkins got there (he can guess) but there's actually quite a bit of ground to cover, dragging stuff up from the kitchen and setting up decorations, so he could use a little help? Maybe? Or you could just watch, that works too. You gotta admit he goes through a lot of trouble to win people over. ]

Could you, um... would you mind helping me with this table?

[ ~~bread dad was the best at lifting tables~~ Gosh, he's just doing what he can here... not that anyone necessarily cares, Hans. He did kind of bring this upon himself, but he'll be damned if he lets the whole murder-cake business ruin Halloween.

Later, during the part, Hans can be found chatting it up or examining the carving tools and admiring the pumpkin on the table he's decided is his. ]

We're supposed to draw a face on them, right?

[ By the way, Hans is "dressed up" as a pumpkin. Or like, the douchiest alternative to a pumpkin imaginable. Why was this in the costume shop? Who rightly knows. ]

This is going to be messy, isn't it.

[Well, she promised she'd be here, and that she'd be dressed. So, dressed up she is! She herself has been working on a...pumpkin. Sort of. She did her best.]

Nice party. Though I wouldn't have pegged you as the pumpkin-carving sort.

[That is the most beautiful costume ever, holy shit. The Pirate King has absolutely embraced this holiday like the embarrassing manchild that he is, but his costume consists of his regular clothes and a cape. Which probably isn't exactly giving any clues as to what he's supposed to be, but he's got some of those plastic vampire fangs in (where the hell did he get those, that's probably not very hygienic) and they're kind of making it hard to talk.]

What an incredible outfit! I'm a bit saddened that I didn't see it first!

[...Well. Tragedy and mysteries or not, who is Raoul to turn down an invitation to a party? After his investigating (which people should feel free to barge in on at any time), Raoul takes time to pick a somewhat appropriate costume to join in on the fun. This time he is fashionably late, but can you blame him? He really wanted to try making a quiche from scratch for this one!

(It's burnt on the bottom. Yes, he knows. Please be polite and try it, look how proud he is of this ugly thing.)

At the very least, all the preparation for the party has gotten his mind off of more sour subjects, so you're likely to find him having some fun showing off his costume, especially that cape, or examining the pumpkin carving stations. Is he going to carve a pumpkin? You should totally get him to carve a pumpkin.]

I mean, I guess I could. I just feel naked without them.

Thanks. [ He looks Billy over. Not impressed by your lack of costume, dude. ] Honestly, I've never done it before. But they're here, right? It would be kind of a waste to just... leave them.

[ He could just draw on them, that would be way easier. ]

[ I mean, at least he's in the spirit! That's great! Totally winning points for effort, Pirate King. ]

Why, thank you! [ It's awful but Hans is getting a distinct kick out of it. ] It really drew my eye when I saw it in the costume room.

I'm lucky it was in my size.

[Encouragement! This is exactly what he needs to start making lots of random recipes from the 50's this week.]

Thank you! I do believe I am beginning to understand the particulars of cooking now, and I must say it is exciting. It might be worth the effort to try creating other things as well!

[The Balladeer actually shows up to this party at a reasonable time! He's wearing his Red Death costume from before, though the full mask has been replaced with a skull-patterned domino mask. Obviously; you can't eat through that giant elaborate thing, and he's also got what appears to be a pumpkin pie!

The refreshments are his first stop, to drop off the pie and grab a slice of cake for himself. That done, he'll wander over to linger on the edges of the crowd to listen to a few stories - not reacting to them visibly, just listening with his head canted to the side slightly in interest.

Eventually, he swings by the pumpkins as well. He seems pleased that people are taking part, and will approach anyone carving (who isn't Captain Hook because screw that guy).]

Hey! Are you guys having fun with the carving?

You should still take them off.

[YOU SHOULD FEEL NAKED AFTER WHAT YOU DID HANS]

[ Hans is totally doing that pumpkin thing, he even looked this stuff up before planning his party so like-- well, he wasn't expecting pumpkins? But it's cool. He can do this. It's a chance to show everyone up!

...If he knew anything about getting his hands dirty and carving a pumpkin, that is. ]

[ Dude has managed to take off his gloves but he really doesn't wanna break this thing open. ]

[ Fine, fine, he will take off his gloves, revealing totally normal hands underneath them. It's really not that big a deal, he tucks them into his pocket and picks up a sharp-looking tool. It's not a human head, Hans, there's really no need to be this hesitant. ]

Indeed! It's certainly much more flattering than any other pumpkin costumes in there. Though you should get a crown - then you could be a pumpking!

Hahahah, but no, Raoul is not stabbing his pumpkin. Dressed as nicely as he is, gourd guts would not look good with a skeleton, so he's just lightly scraping the skin off into pretty designs. No one said he couldn't.]

I think I have found a way to make it less messy, if you would like to try this method, Your Majesty?

[Yeah uh. Douchebag or not, dude's still royalty?]

[These are some pretty neat gourds. Raoul likes them. So far he's made his pumpkin into something nice and elegant, and he smiles warmly as the Balladeer approaches. He approves of the new mask, bro, very non-deja vu inducing.]

Ah, yes! I am so far. It's rather delicate work, this carving, and it's rather nice to put one's focus on something like it.

[Heather's elbow deep in pumpkin guts, gagging, when he approaches. It's all dramatics though, and she stops to grin at him. ]
