[Last week, in It's Curtains, the weather changed, and with it your fortune in Dads. Discord took Salieri out - or perhaps Salieri took Discord out - and left the survivors with that much less impulse control. Nonetheless, a visit from a new friend might have provided a little bit of much-needed hope?

On Sunday morning, you'll find that the other side of the second floor has opened up - as well as the actual intended path to reach the roof garden. You can finally stop climbing up that rope every time you want to have a picnic or secret lover's rendezvous!

Outside, the weather seems to have calmed down. It's sunny again, with rather a lot of clouds. Though it's warm, the atmosphere seems very...still.]

[Benjamin nods. Picks it up, and then dumps it in the nearest trash can.]

It isn't fit to eat.

[Explanation??? no. But he seems to relax a little once the meat pie is out of sight.]

[When she says she hit her head, he brings the hand on her shoulder up to cup her head protectively, as if he can shield her from the landing even now.]

Could you not change teams? Was there no adult to put a stop to the laughing?

[But of course there wasn't. Or if there was, they were incompetent.

He hugs the poor, crying girl close, presses her head to his lips.]

No one here thinks you're a joke. I certainly don't.

[Early morning Wednesday, right around the time the sun is just coming up, the sickly sleepers of Gershwin high aren't going to be experiencing as sound a slumber as they might like. Ambassador is having to contend with the sound of little nails scratching at the door and Broadhurst having a steady thunk thunk thunk at theirs.]

No, I— I just gotta shake it off.

[Benjamin doesn't sleep well anyway, so the sound of little nails gets him up quickly.

Is it Bruiser again?]

[Not this time, Benji. It's Ruddiger and he looks a little wobbly, possibly because of the empty wine bottle clutched in his fat little raccoon arms.

(It's fine, he's a cartoon raccoon.)]

Re: Ambassador

[A sleepily-thrown pillow makes it about a foot from LSP's bed in an effort to quiet the scrabbling.]

N' Finn, quit tryn' to cheat ob Huntress Wizard with me, 'm not like that...

[Soft snoring returns a moment later.]

[Benjamin has to rub his eyes to check and make sure he's not seeing things. But when he's sure, he tries to squat down (and nearly falls - he's woozier than he thought) to be more on Ruddiger's level.]

Good morning, little fellow. It looks like you've had an early start to the day.

Not come to be a bad influence on Farrah, have you?

[He reaches out to try and take the bottle...?]

[Ruddiger wobbles more and smacks at Benjamin's hands with with his tiny people hands. He looks...worried, along with being a little tipsy, and chitters. ]

Broadhurst

[ Janis, currently tangled up in the bed of the one living actual resident of this dorm, groans and sort of. Stumbles over to the door. ]

Way to rub it in... Alright, who's there?

[Benjamin frowns, then takes a knee to stabilize himself so he doesn't fall over.]

What's the matter? Do you need me to follow you?

[It's everyone's favorite snail with a skateboard, Gary! When she opens the door he thunks his skateboard against her shin, albeit much gentler than he was being with the door.]

Meow.

[Ruddiger chitters again in response and scampers over to the door to Broadhurst to climb onto the back of Gary's (who is currently trying to get Janis's attention) skateboard.]

Sure is a good thing you have that skateboard, huh? Everything okay, buddy?

[Alright, here we go- With a dad grunt, Benjamin heaves himself back up off his knees, taking one last look in Ambassador before he follows.

Hey, mods? Is Farrah still there?]

[When he doesn't see Farrah where he left her, he comes running after Ruddiger.]
