In contrast to the smell of smoke from the auditorium there seems to be a... sweet, banana-y baked good smell coming from the cafeteria? But who could have been baking while you were all at the trial--

If you go in there or even just pass by at all, you'll find on one of the tables there's a plate with several warm and fresh banana muffins. Underneath the plate, just sticking out enough so that you can see a corner peeking out, is a folded up note:

At the bottom of the note is a small, hand drawn banana. The handwriting and muffins might look familiar to two of you.

About seven. We only had five trials, if you exclude our final confrontation with the Phantom.

[ She thinks on it for a moment, chewing on the inside of her cheek. ]

My understanding that this is... the average timeline for these kinds of things. A week of peace. Five weeks of death. And then a final climax. Though there are exceptions.

[Across the way, Maya glances toward him. It doesn't last, but... for a brief moment, she looks stricken.]

[ Peregrine’s been quiet; a lot of this affects her friends, affects the rest of them. To her knowledge…there’s no one she knew who’s been through this before. But at that, she takes Maya’s hand and squeezes it. ]

I have... Pointed fingers at our loved ones and caused fights. I am hardly any more reliable than anyone else here. [She clears her throat.] Yourself, Orpheus, and Eurydice-san were incredibly resourceful in hoarding food, and that got us through yesterday. [Maya isn't one to normally shirk praise but... This seems unwarranted. Especially not with Nana right here. She may have "already forgiven" Maya, but it still doesn't feel right.]

Ah... haha, yes that was me. I was trying to scope out the washrooms to see if they were still safe and overheard the meeting and w-well...

[ She tries to... stay her sword hand. ]

I seem to have picked up a few bad habits over this past year.

[Something roils and turns over in Cassandra's stomach. An uncomfortable feeling.

She doesn't want to be suspicious of this girl, who seemed to be going so far out of her way to help them... but she's been burned before. She still doesn't fully trust it, but her expression is... slightly softer.]

If we're nearing the climax, shouldn't we try to stop this before that happens?
