I do, yeah.

[The Balladeer glances over his shoulder, checking for anyone else in the room. Suddenly, his stomach's churning with something more than guilt and grief; even after meeting the Player, there's still that flash of excitement at meeting someone else like him, who could understand what he is and what he knows. Who won't think him strange.

But then there's worry, too. People here haven't always loved what he has to say. He's learned to be careful about telling people that they're from shows, that they're in one right now. It...seems to upset them, for reasons he guesses he just can't fully get. Plus, after everything he's said...none of that applies to Janis, she's obviously a fully-realized person. She knows that, right?

He continues in a lower tone:]


You saw past the fourth wall. Not every narrator does that, but a lot do. The whole point's narrating for them, after all. It doesn't - I know how people here feel about it, but it really doesn't have to mean anything. Reality's sort of relative, you know?
