[The glow of the moon, and the love of the stars. The brilliance of heaven -- I shall gather it all to deliver that glory to your heart. Student of the 99th cohort. This is Tendo Maya.
On the stage there is but one star. Seek for it, hunger for it… Thirst for it, fight for it.
Even alone, I am a star. Only one star can shine at the top
Maya awakens on Sunday feeling... uneasy. She had won again, unsurprising considering Karen's less practiced form. But what she had said over the course of the duel. It's exactly what she had thought the previous week, but hearing it said out loud, in her own voice?
She shakes her head. At least Janis's presence is of a comfort to her, and she allows herself approximately 30 seconds of lingering in bed, tucked beneath the other girl's chin, before sitting up.
After grabbing breakfast, Maya heads outside for the first time in weeks. She has her sword in hand, of course, though it's set aside when she reaches the track. She'd put on her usual exercise clothes, as opposed to her uniform so... time to get that cardio in. She runs a couple miles worth of laps because... Why not.
Eventually she ends up on the bleachers though, and gets to practicing her routine. Mostly there's a lot of leaping, from the top of the bleachers to about midway down. It looks... pretty dangerous, especially since she's doing it with her sword? Uhhh...
Either way, Maya doesn't manage to get herself killed. And as a treat, she settles down in the garden. She sits beside, but not on, the bench dedicated to Mumble. And since she at least thinks she's alone?]
I wish I could have shown it all to you. My true brilliance upon the stage. You deserve to know that passion. To know you were not alone.
