[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

What if you add colors from all of ours into it? It seems like he cares a lot more than he tends to let on, so having those connections to all of us might be nice.

[A very friendly little guy! He's less slim and streamlined as the other lizards that have been popping out of the machine, and there's a sort of intelligence in his little lizard eyes that isn't there with the others. There's clearly something special about this one, if the whole... fire thing isn't enough of a clue.]

He's on fire because he can control it. Like I can do with ice. [She laughs softly as the lizard turns a circle in her hands, like he's saying "yes look at how good I am!!"] He has a very close tie to nature, in the forests far beyond Arendelle.

[Oh no. Oh no no no...]

Oh Cass...

[What can she say to that? How do even begin to comfort someone who's only just now remembering being abandoned by their mother?]

I'm so sorry. That's... [She's good and honest struggling to find the words. To abandon a child, to harm someone like Cass in such a terrible way... it hurts. It hurts so bad. Enough that a spark of that hurt twists, into something that feels like anger.] I can't find the words for how incredibly cruel that is.

[Elsa frowns as she sees the picture; a part of her is surprised that Farrah's kept it this long. Between the contents and what had happened because of those photos, it seemed like these things are just cursed. But the part of Elsa that is dedicated to her sister, the part that would do anything for Anna, can't really blame Farrah for clinging to any reminder of her sister, even if it's not exactly a happy one.]

But you'll be able to see her again, won't you?

[... Wait no that sounds way too "you'll see her one day in the afterlife" spiritual.]

You're alive now. If we can find a way back to our homes... then you'll go back there alive. You can be with your sister again.

[Bruni is a smart little spirit. He knows that something about seeing him shook Peregrine, so he'll just hop off of Elsa's shoulder and patter away - not completely out of the room, but enough to where he isn't readily in sight.]

[He asks in a tone that would be really inappropriate for almost anybody other than Ronald Reagan. Assassins might not express any particular opinions towards him, but the Balladeer has a gay dad and like, a sense of morality, so!]

Oh, I never have, either! It could be fun to try, though. Peregrine and I were talking, I might try to pick up some kind of non-music hobby.

[He shrugs.]

Not that I'm abandoning it! But it's always been my thing. Maybe it'd be interesting to branch out.

Mmmm, yeah. I like it out here. Some theatre companies will do stuff outside, but my show doesn't lend itself to that, I think.

[He smiles wistfully at the ripples in the water, fading circles of rose-gold light. Part of him wants to ask if Ben is okay, but...of course he isn't. What do you say to someone, after the worst has happened? Experienced as he may be in tragedies, he's never exactly been around to see the aftermath.

(Was there a song, from the ensemble...? But he can't remember.)]

It's peaceful. I know some folks were talking about camping out here one night - I hope we do that.

[There doesn't seem to be anything of the sort in here. Looks like there's some plastic containers that seem a little out-of-place, though.]

[ And now she's chased the cute little lizard away, huh? ]

...Nature and I just... We don't have a good track record. Maybe- I screwed up, but...my brother didn't do anything wrong, and he still... [ Peregrine swallows. ]

[ Janis is absolutely at least slightly a "pff sportsball" teen. ]

I'm just saying random stuff that comes to mind, mostly.

Yeah, he's been super dead for like, ten years.

I-I shouldn't. I'm not... good at this. At all.

[She knows he can immediately turn on her, even if he doesn't. They all can. So, why does she press on? Why?]

[What can anyone say to that? Any other person may have been near downright inconsolable. But Cassandra? She pulled herself together with the only strength she had - her anger. Anger that burned bright enough to reach the Dark Kingdom.]

Yeah, it is. [Bitterness bubbles to the surface, beneath it all. It's almost nice to tap into something that wasn't soul-crushing depression.] She left with Rapunzel, and that's just how it's always been. Someone else always gets the attention and respect and I get... nothing.

[Oh??? Containers you say?? Let's have a look at what's in these containers then, shall we?]

[He nods to himself for a second, hand drifting down to rest on the body of his guitar.]

I think I'm gonna try. I mean - worst comes to worst, I just...don't save anyone again. I'm already doing that now.

I only know about the time John shot him. Hinckley, that is, not...obviously not Wilkes. [People mostly called them both John - as different as those two are, the context pretty much always made it clear.]

[Frowning, the Balladeer sort of...awkwardly scoots across the grass until he's nearer to Maya.]

...I trust you, Maya. I know you just want to look out for everyone here. You're not...

I just think you should look out for yourself, too.

[Maya tilts her head upward, studying the man for a quiet moment before tipping her head back down.]

Yeah, I don't know about all that.

My life was...complicated. And my relationship with Annleigh was... also complicated. [She frowns down at the picture-- then returns it back to its safe place.]

I don't know if I'd want to go back. And I miss her, but... I don't know what it'd be like, to see her again. Good, or bad.

[He won't push anymore. Not right now, at least. After a moment longer of watching her, he turns his attention back to the sky.]

Is this anything like the real night sky?

Not even close. [Maya laughs faintly.]

Stars, yes, but... There's no rhyme or reason to it. Certainly not something you could navigate by.
