[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

[Well...Angus probably isn't wrong about that. Getting up atop the building would give them a vantage point they've never had before, after all...maybe clues as to some entrances up there into vents or rooms they haven't yet seen.]

[Somehow, despite their position, Cassandra was sleeping... pretty soundly. Maybe it was the nest of blankets and pillows, or maybe it could have something to do with the woman cuddled into the crook of her shoulder. Truly, it's a mystery.

But just as Elsa stirs from her slumber, so does the other woman. Just a little noise at first, like she wants to fight it and stay comfortable. Then, in her half-sleeping state...]

Mmmmorning? Five more minutes, Crowley...

Shine...that kindof sounds like a made up word so he can just pick whoever he wants.

[Varian shrugs a little, realizing only after he's said it that that might be worrying.]

[Varian nods, propping his head up on his hand.]

Yeah. ....

So like... if I reached into my pocket, since I haven't really thought about what's in it yet, and...

[ She pulls out a pen. ]

Handy. I'm guessing it probably wouldn't work if I wanted to pull out, like, a live mouse or something.

[ Looks at Maya, then smiles in a really grossly fond way. ]

The Phantom of the Opera, I mean. The show he's from.

[He guesses it is confusing when he also talks about both of his former shows pretty regularly.]

I mean, I haven't seen it. But it's really well-known.

[ She sighs. ]

I guess... if you were going to die without him, I'm going to bet the guy would be trying to blackmail you or something.

[Elsa's had plenty of sleepovers with her sister in the three years since her coronation, ones where they wake up snuggled together or sprawled out in a terrible tangle of limbs. Those nights were comforting in their own way, but this... there's something about the feeling of warmth next to her, the sense of security that seeps deep into her bones, that makes her not want to move. Even as the alarm bells in her head sound, screaming at her that she's too close to someone, all she does is adamantly refuse to look up.

Because oh god, that voice. She knows who she's leaning against now, and that makes her feel... something. There's a bubbling feeling in her chest that she hasn't felt before, except in brief moments these past few weeks, and she's not sure how to process this with her still-foggy brain.]

... Cass...?

[Half-asleep, she mumbles out just part of Cassandra's name. Just. Let this be part of her dream still.]

Huh? Oh.

[ oh, she's... never been the expert at being gay in a conversation, really? ]

I mean... yeah. I don't even like boys. Some people like different, some people like the same, some people like both... some people aren't into anyone like that. Just sorta depends.

[ A little knowing, a little haunted, Peregrine nods. ]

Just trying to get his last wishes out there. You know, his real ones.

[...You know that sure explains a lot, at least in Maya's case.]

I guess I never really thought about it that way...I'm glad Maya found somebody...she seems like she was due to have somebody watch over her for a change.

Probably 'cause it's the Wizard's fault we're here in the first place.

Oh, good job, you got it! [He grins!] Doubt it, though. Unless you carry live mice in your pockets a lot.

[He's honestly never thought about it. Honestly the concept of creating life is a little wild.]

There's also just a lot of...knowing things. I don't know how to explain that, exactly. You can't really make it happen, and it hasn't happened to me here since the first day. If it were your show, it'd probably be just...knowing what happened in scenes you weren't there for, stuff like that. But I guess we aren't supposed to know what's going on here.

[It would sort of ruin the story. Even if the Balladeer's decided to quit caring about that here, that doesn't mean he'll just be allowed.]

[ She smiles at poor Maya, who is sleeping through this thread. ]

I don't know how good I'll be at it, but... she makes me want to try, you know? Even if I am, like, way normal compared to a lot of people here.

[ A slight groan as she reflects on her words. ]

God I've got it bad, Varian.

[ She hangs her head, a little embarrassed. ]

No, it's okay. I was just hoping to get here first and set up a little...

It's really nice here though, right?

[ Rina there are benches with all the dead people's names on them.

[AW JANIS...Varian smiles a little wider, even if she might not be able to easily see it from where he is in the dark.]

Normal isn't a bad thing. I think half of us could use more normal.

And the fact you care so much means you're already good at it.

Just... knowing things? [ Janis frowns. ] What does it feel like? So I know what to... feel for, I guess, unless there's some kind of way it looks?

[ She's glad Varian (probably) can't see her blushing over here. ]

Well, I'm gonna guard her as best I can, I guess. Even if she's the one with the cool sword.

Oh my gosh. Look at that cute little guy. [Farrah’s here for her daily diet coke. She coos softly at the little lizard.]

It’s pretty messed up that living things are in there.

[Her heart hasn't stopped racing, even as she decided spontaneously to rest in the dirt here, hoping that the world would disappear and she would wake up again. Surely... surely this was all another nightmare, a fake one; she was about to wake up in bed. What she had witnessed in her dreams couldn't be the truth.

The stomping of crushed brush. A voice, fraught with concern. Elsa.

She's not alone anymore. Cassandra panics. That same frantic energy grabs her, orders her to get up, now. Act as if nothing even happened... Only, the moment she tries, Cassandra finds the world slipping out from underneath her, nearly sending her faceplanting into the dirt for a second time. There's scratches along her face, and for a moment, fear grips her. Her leg hurt. Had she broken it again?

...No. More likely it was a sprain. That would heal. Something she could walk away from.]

Elsa! I... I-I was just...
