Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Eh, sure, why not.

I'm not crazy attached to them or anything, it's just weird to see my crappy Halloween costume show up, of all things.

[There's a long pause.]

Halloween?

Oh, it's uh. It's a holiday where I come from? People dress up in costumes and kids go door to door and collect candy from adults while teenagers either gather in parties where they mostly make bad choices or hang out at home watching scary movies.

[Varian knows exactly what Halloween is now, 100%.

It sounds like fun though, if he's honest.]

Collecting candy, huh. Just...from anyone?

[You know. Any random stranger who could give you poison?]

Well, mostly from adults, but. They go door to door, their parents are usually with them, so like... it's mostly safe. The worst you get is the occasional dentist who wants to hand out toothpaste instead.

Okay, that's better.

[Of course the practice of dental hygiene is probably...sketchy at best in Varian's time, but even he recognizes the universal distaste associated with dentists. He smirks.]

Either way, that sounds like one big festival. I bet Rapunzel would be all over it.

It's cool. Like it's more for kids than adults, but a lot of people love it. Lots of decorating.

And dressing up.

[He nods towards the horns that Janis took.]

Did you make those, by the way?

And dressing up, that is true.

[ She nods. ]

Yup! Good old papier-mache, works like a charm. I would have put more effort in, but my plans for the night were entirely hanging out and watching movies with Damian, so. Just the horns it was.

I mean, it's better than nothing!
