Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

MEETING

[A little before 7pm, Salieri will meet Cassandra in the Cafeteria to get set up for the meeting, so by the time everyone gets there, there's enough paper for note taking if needed, as well as pencils, water and other beverages, and some snacks on the table.

Once everyone's gathered, he'll stand up so he can speak and get this meeting started]

Thank you all for coming. To say that the past few days have been exceptionally trying would be an understatement. What happened to Mumble was a terrible, tragic accident, but I believe almost all of us are in agreement when I say that what happened to Madame Elisabeth was undeserved, especially the horrible spectacle that the entire process was made out to be. [he takes a breath, and lets it out]

With all the events of last week in mind, it is starkly clear to me, as I’m sure it is to many of you, that our situation is even more dire than it seemed. Based on the items we received last Tuesday, it is clear that the Wizard will stoop as low as needed in order to produce the results he desires. Madame Eurydice suggested to me at one point the conservation of our resources, especially food, would be a boon. Admittedly, at the time it was not something I had considered before. Now, I feel it is something that should be a high priority. However, I fully admit to knowing nothing about the process and what might be required. Therefore, I would ask that the people who are more knowledgeable of the ins and outs of food and supply storage and distribution take charge of such a venture, and those that would wish to volunteer to help avail themselves to that person or peoples.

The next item I would like to discuss is that of not only finding a way out, but also the exploration of every nook and cranny of our prison. Again, this is not an area that I am personally knowledgeable in, however I’m aware of several people have been working on such a venture in the time that we’ve been here; I would ask that they share what information they already know, as well as take on any volunteers who would be interested in helping with such, perhaps breaking volunteers into teams if necessary. To this end, I would also suggest another meeting perhaps later in the week to discuss what has been discovered.

Finally, if there’s any new information that has come to light, I would ask that it be shared with everyone else, so that we are all on the same page.

[ Orpheus stands up. He may not be the one spearheading the effort to keep track of how much food they're using, but he's a little more comfortable with public speaking than his wife. ]

Um. Eurydice, Peregrine, and I have been keeping track of how much food we use each day and how much comes in each week. It seems like things that we're low on restock on Sunday mornings so far? But only that, and like Maestro Salieri said, the Wizard may stop that if he thinks it'll help with what he's trying to do to us.

I'm not really sure what we can do about it, though. It seems like our main food source aside from what's in the kitchen is what comes out of the vending machines? Including the, um. Strange one. That's been pretty consistent? But who knows if we can rely on it. What would be best is if we could get outside and hunt or forage, but...

So, I just want to put this out there since I've been thinking about it. I didn't want to jump to drastic measures, but since nothing else has worked so far, and after everything that's happened...

Since a new wing of the school opened, it means that things aren't as impenetrable as they seem. And if I ever get the means to do it, I'm going to try to build an explosive.

Wait, wait. Even if no one gets hurt in the explosion - if it doesn't work, the Wizard might retaliate somehow, like he did when someone tried to attack Hester. There might not be a rule specifically against it like there is with attacking the faculty, but... Are we sure enough that it could work that it's worth it?

I don't know if this is particularly important, but I was able to speak with Hester-san about the names of our dorms, and even the school itself.

Gershwin was a composer and painter from the 20th century, based in the United States. Rodgers and Broadhurst were his contemporaries, while Ambassador does indeed refer to the group of people, and Longacre is a location.

Speaking of Hester-san, I... Believe she is just as impacted by the events of this place as we are. I don't know how she came to be in the Wizard's employ but... I suspect she was not informed of every detail that this job would entail.

Soooo we've found camera's pretty much everywhere, right? Would it be a good idea to find somewhere else to have meetings from now on? I think we figured out there aren't any cameras in the bathrooms.
