[ Orpheus goes entirely silent as the song starts, listening intently. It's hard to believe this could be anyone but Lord Hades, even as the song goes on, even as he doesn't recognize the name of the woman he's singing about. Did Lord Hades have an affair? Orpheus knows his brothers and his nephews did all the time, but Lord Hades himself had never seemed the type. Still, it wasn't impossible, and it sounded so much like him in more than just voice alone.

But then the song draws to a close, and he talks about the land that had been left to him, and Orpheus knows it isn't him. Even so, his eyes are shining at the end, wet with the beginnings of tears. ]

Oh. Um. [ Orpheus blinks them back, shaking his head to try to snap out of it. ] I... guess that can't have been him. Lord Hades would never leave the Underworld. Not even for love.
