Sure, he might be adept at what he can do, but it's always a treat for him to find someone equal minded...much less someone who is clearly far smarter than he is. On the other, it makes sense. This week, something changed. Something with those papers she's using to express herself has given her a boost of confidence that Varian can't help but feel happy for her over. With how the weekend went...seeing genuine happiness over something like this is rare.
