[From what Varian remembers, he doesn't really have many friends at all himself. He's befriended Rapunzel, Cassandra, and Eugene to an extent...and even started a budding relationship with Ruddiger. But kids his age that actually want anything to do with him are few and far between.

Getting to meet someone like Rina is a rarity. It's nice.
