[Around the one hour mark of everyone waking up, after the chaos has presumably peaked and begun to wane, the PA system crackles to life above their heads. A young woman’s voice, a nervous-sounding edge in her tone, comes from the speakers scattered through every room on the first floor.]
Good- good morning, everyone! I hope you’re all feeling fresh and well-rested. Please report to the cafeteria for opening ceremonies.
[There’s a few seconds more of crackling static and then silence. While there’s nothing physically forcing the students to the cafeteria for these “opening ceremonies”, it’s unlikely they’re going to get any answers by hanging out in the band room.
When the last of them filters into the cafeteria, the doors swing closed behind them but shut with just a soft little click. There’s hardly any time to react before the music starts. The instrumentals seem to be coming from nowhere but ring loud and clear through the large cafeteria. Keen ears will notice the opening feels like it goes on for a few seconds too long, like it’s waiting on someone to pick up their cue-]
