week 5
[That was...an absolute shitshow. More beloved friends are dead in a mess of a trial that's left Angus half the man he was, Riley in a free fall and the Phantom...somehow still standing despite taking two stabs to the torso.
When you wake on Sunday, you'll find that you've recovered another one of those memories - or had another dream, if you still wanna be in denial about it. The door blocking the stairwell on the second floor has been unsealed. You can now venture up to the third floor! You have so much space now, it's just a shame it's all come at the cost of eight lives.
But despite the tragedy you have made progress! The trip into the Phantom's lair yielded some hints to the past of the Opera House, your house manager's apparently grim hobby and the possibility of an ally outside the Opera House. Who knows what this week will bring?]

(( Welcome to Week 5! Please remember to submit your AC and your memory regains, as well as your coins! You can also still contact the Phantom. ))

[She has to force that out through gritted teeth, but she knows it's true.]
It reminds me of like... those stupid people on the internet, that one phrase... something about facts and feelings?
[Her head is still foggy from last night, even foggier when she's around Jeremy. She knows why exactly that is, and it's unsettling enough for her to fight against this illness harder than she had before.]
We're not... we're not resorting to murder to fix this. If anything, I already have a solution, if you want me to.
[She inhales sharply when she realizes she said that. She thinks it's already clear Jeremy wouldn't be okay with that, considering how he reacted to her SQUIP's apparent reactivation.]

[He sits up and squints at her. God, he really misses being able to see clearly. It's so hard to focus on people when he's also trying to ignore the SQUIP.]
What's your solution?
Okay cool we're doing this again, cw suicide mention
The Phantom said suicide counts. I'll just take myself out of the picture. It'll be better for us that way, a-anyways, since you won't have to worry about me trying to keep forgiving you.
[One hand moves up in a jerky motion, but the other grabs it and forces it back down as Christine offers a wobbly smile, like she's referencing some inside joke only the two of them know.]
It's not what they want. They want you to be happy, but... but I know I make things too complicated to make you happy. So this is... better.

Christine, I love you. [Bad way to get that confession, Christine, but this illness compels him to say it like that.] I'm the one who's bad for you. If. If we were gonna - which we are not! Just! Just to be real fuckin, real clear because you're. Three people will murder me if I let you even. Even consider this!
[Then we'd have no surviorpool.]
But if we were. If we did that, it'd be me. Obviously.

The SQUIP that's maybe not really there tries to take advantage of her confusion, and for a moment, she just smiles at him dazedly before she can shake her head stubbornly.]
If you mean Mephisto and Stephen, I already talked to them. That's why they were so angry with me at the party. Well, that and I acted like my SQUIP had gotten me. It still might have? E-Everything's confusing right now.
[She exhales slowly and takes a step forward, then another and another. Carefully, as if anticipating Jeremy trying to recoil away from her, she tries to take his hands.]
The only thing I'm not confused about is that you don't deserve what you're doing to yourself. And that... I want to be with you. I love you too. And we can try being together in whatever sense you're comfortable with, just as friends or as more or whatever.
Just, just don't keep pushing me away? I'm not worried about good and bad. I'm worried about us trying, and learning. [She squeezes his hands with a small smile.] Like you told Riley, right? You don't get to decide who my favourite person is.
