[The performers have been in the opera house for nearly two weeks now. Overall, despite the captivity, the experience has been a mellow one even with the introduction of the motive. Peaceful almost.

It's 7 am Friday morning. As everyone starts to putter out of their dressing rooms and begin the day, something feels different. A certain heaviness in the air, a sense of dread...oh, and then there's the metallic smell of blood coming from the hallway.

[Winslow rather not deal with the body right now. Finding anything the killer and wringing him with his bare hands bringing him to justice, that's more productive than thinking.

If anyone wanted to wash evidence away, they'd do it here. He'll take a look at the sink, to see if anyone left anything in there.]

[There's actually something going on with the floor in front of the sink. Would you like to start there?]

[Something catches his eye from the floor indeed. Winslow ducks down to the floor to get a look at what may be down there.]

[Congratulations! It's more blood droplets! These ones are leading from the doorway to the sink.]

[dechagny]

[Raoul has followed his own trail of blood to the laundry room it seems - ah, and his good friend Winslow is here! He takes care not to obstruct the blood clues as he makes his way over.]

Winslow, good man - what have you found so far?

[Well what a tangled web of blood they weave.

He scrawls again on the clipboard.

"Blood on the floor. What did you find?"]

[Blood on the floor - a murder weapon would be more helpful, but they take what they can get.]

I too found blood on the floor - a small trail of droplets through the lobby. Whether they go from the east hall to the west, or west to east, I cannot determine.

[So they know that at least someone passed through the lobby to here after the murder.

"Hard to tell. We need to examine around here. See if the murderer tried to cover anything here."

Unless there's anything of interest around the sink, is there anything of interest round the drying machines?]

[You may want to look at the sink a little more, actually.]

[Winslow starts to look elsewhere before the sink catches his eye. The songwriter decides to examine said sink, looking even into the drain]

[The sink is empty. There's nothing in the drain either.

However, it seems like there must've been something in here pretty recently - there's a pale reddish stain left on the basin, forming a ring.]

[Oh ew, Raoul has followed Winslow to double check the sink and ew.]

That sort of stain...it could only be made by something soaking in bloodied water for a considerable amount of time, couldn't it?
